Nestled between the Southern end of the Rocky Mountains, and the Northern end of the Colorado Plateau, Nephi is positioned in a spectacular setting. A spectacular area deserves great leadership.
As the descendant of pioneers that helped to settle and establish this area, it is my great honor to seek office as a member of the Nephi City Council. My ancestors have been a stable and influential member of this community dating back to the late 1800’s.
My family has been active contributing members to this community for my entire life. They have owned and operated successful businesses, been employed by the city, raised their families, and served in many local community and religious capacities. I opened a CPA firm in 2023 and registered it in Nephi City.
My wife, Lyndsey and I both graduated from Juab High School in 1995 and began our lives together four years later. We have ten children, that are an active part of the community in their various chosen activities and pursuits. We are at a point now to give back to Nephi, in this city council role.
The concept of seeking public office is not typically on the top of everyone’s list. It was not for me either. However, the time has come in which I feel I have much to bring to the Nephi City Council. From my historical upbringing in this community to the years away learning and growing in the numerous areas that a city needs to be successful, I have reached a point where I can give back. I know that I can step in and help to elevate Nephi City. Not that the city needs or even wants to grow, but, the growth is coming and proper guidance is critical.

Why I am running
As an active member of the community, I have noticed that the key issues impacting the community match my personal knowledge and experience. In my lifetime, if there ever was a time that a city was primed for my leadership, it is now. Multiple events are underway within the City that directly correspond with my experience, and as such I feel the need to contribute at this time.
In the past 11 years, on behalf of my employer, I have purchased five natural gas generators and overseen the repairs of six others similar in size and capacity that Nephi City has in an agreement with Wheeler Power Systems and UMPA. In addition, I am the one responsible for developing and obtaining approval of the annual budget for my employer. An annual process that Nephi has recently completed for Fiscal 2025/2026. These are but two reasons I am running for one of the two open positions on the Nephi City Council.
